Description:

From Witches Night Out Website:

Not all witch gatherings are bad. In the case of "Witches Night Out Presented by LRS" on Thursday October 27, it will definitely be for good. That's because this annual costume event, in its inaugural year in Springfield, is also a fundraiser for local agencies that serve women in need.

The event will take place at the Exposition "Expo" Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. a fitting backdrop for any conclave of witches with its Gothic-looking renaissance revival architecture, iron framing, brick walls, and segmented arched windows.

Witches Night Out will have an la carte food station as well as bar to serve Budweiser beer and a variety of witchy themed mixed drinks. Those specialty drinks will have names like the Hocus Pocus, Candy Corn, Magic Wand and Toad Stool martinis, as well as one hot drink. And yes, they are guaranteed delicious.

About 75 entrepreneurs (almost all women) from around central Illinois will be selling their wares at the witches bazaar millinery, locally made honey, scarves, handmade soaps, candles, jewelry, ect.

Baskets will be raffled off that evening, each worth between $250 and $500 raffle coordinator Angie Wiser said. Local businesses have donated to the committee and "all kinds of businesses in Springfield" donated gift cards.

Ample parking is located to the north of the Expo building. Enter on the East side of the building, off Main Street.
