Description: The inagural Freak on Main 1 Mile Run will kick off this years Halloween Parade in Edwardsville Illinois! This is a 1 mile run where anything goes! Jump rope, Hoola Hoop, juggle, play a musical instrument, wear stilts, run backward, or make up your own freaky trick in the OPEN FREAK DIVISION...FOR ONE MILE! This is a point-to-point FREAK run that follows the Halloween Parade route beginning at the Lincoln Middle School and ending at Edwardsville City Hall on Main Street. This years Parade theme is "FREAKY FRIDAY!" The Freak on Main 1 Mile Run will fit perfectly with the theme! Run participants receive a FREAK on MAIN HOODIE; the logo glows in the dark! Run participants also receive a FREAK on MAIN pint glass.

EntertainmentAfter the Run be sure to stay and watch the Edwardsville Halloween Parade! Join in the estimated crowd of 25,000 spectators that line the streets of downtown Edwardsville in anticipation of this annual tradition. The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce has brought the Halloween parade to the community for nearly 95 years. Marching bands, school groups, organizations, entertainers, and more than 100 floats take to the streets.

Spectator parking is available in the 'super lot' east of Main Street, and on side streets along the parade route. Additionally, there is a large City lot behind Dewey's Pizza.
