Apple & Pork Festival Since 1968, the Apple N' Pork Festival with its delightful aroma of smoked ham and spicy apple butter, has ushered in autumn for Dewitt County. From its beginning as a modest event, centered around a kettle of soup and stack of sandwiches, the festival has grown to one of the state's favorite fall festivals.
Sponsored by the Dewitt County Museum Association and held on the grounds of the C. H. Moore Homestead, the festival has provided the funds necessary to restore and maintain the large, Victorian-era house, barn and to erect the farm museum. The Apple 'n Pork Festival has over 300 dealers in the flea market. There is an old-time crafting area featuring 19th century crafters demonstrating their dexterity and selling traditional crafted items.
